September 23, 2020: CODE PAKISTAN held a session with regard to COVID-19 prevention and awareness at Jamia al-Muhsanat Amjad Shaheed Colony, Thana, Malakand District, which is a female madrassah for female students. The purpose of the session was to raise awareness about the necessary precautions related COVID-19 among the administration, students, and faculty members of Jamia al-Muhsanat Amjad Shaheed Colony and to distribute information material and personal protection equipment like masks and soaps among them.
Jamia al-Muhsanat Amjad Shaheed Colony is part of the Jamia al-Muhsanat system, which is affiliated with Rabita al-Madaris Pakistan. Jamia Al Muhsanat, Amjad Shaheed Colony, Thana, was founded in 2004. The total number of female students at Jamia Al Muhsanat, Amjad Shaheed Colony, Thana, is around 150. The madrassah provides religious education courses related to recitation, memorization, and translation of the Holy Quran. The madrassah also provides advance religious studies courses to some of its students. The administrator of the madrassah Mohtarma Shagufta was present in the session. Our session started with the video featuring talks by various doctors on COVID-19 prevention and awareness. The video was followed by a comprehensive presentation and practical demonstration on COVID-19 prevention by Dr. Anisa, who accompanied the female CODE PAKISTAN team for the session to handle the post-video presentation Q&A.
CODE PAKISTAN would like to thank the administrator of the madrassah Mohtarma Shagufta for her warm welcome to the visiting female team of CODE PAKISTAN and her commitment to the cause of the welfare of the madrassah students in general and the students of Jamia al-Muhsanat Amjad Shaheed Colony in particular. Our session at Jamia al-Muhsanat Amjad Shaheed Colony, was part of our ongoing efforts to engage the students and faculties of madrassahs as community leaders to raise awareness about COVID-19 prevention.
