Awareness Raising about COVID-19 at Jamia Bait-ul-Quran

September 30, 2020: CODE PAKISTAN held a session with regard to COVID-19 prevention and awareness at Jamia Bait-ul-Quran, Batkhela, Malakand District, which is a madrassah for female students. The purpose of the session was to raise awareness about the necessary precautions related COVID-19 among the administration, students, and faculty members of Jamia Bait-ul-Quran and to distribute information material and personal protection equipment like masks and soaps among them.

Jamia Bait-ul-Quran is located in Mohallah Khatkay adjacent to Batkhela Bazaar in Malakand District. It is founded by the daughter of a religious preacher and businessman Mr. Fazal Ahad, Mohtarma Gulshan, who was present during the session. Our session started with the video featuring talks by various doctors on COVID-19 prevention and awareness. The video was followed by a comprehensive presentation and practical demonstration on COVID-19 prevention by Dr. Anisa, who accompanied the female CODE PAKISTAN team for the session to handle the post-video presentation Q&A.

CODE PAKISTAN would like to thank the administrator of the madrassah Mohtarma Gulshan for her warm welcome to the visiting female team of CODE PAKISTAN and her commitment to the cause of the welfare of the madrassah students in general and the students of Jamia Bait-ul-Quran in particular. Our session at Jamia Bait-ul-Quran was part of our ongoing efforts to engage the students and faculties of madrassahs as community leaders to raise awareness about COVID-19 prevention.
