February 12, 2018: Founder and President of CODE PAKISTAN Mr. Dilawar Khan presented a talk on Pakistan Legal Regime addressing Hate Speech at the Lahore High Court Bar Association. The event was attended by members and senior leadership of Lahore Bar Association. The talk covered hate speech reference in the National Action Plan, major legislative enactments dealing with hate speech, violence, glorification of violence, and counter-terrorism, besides leading judgments of the honorable apex courts delivered from time to time. This is an on-going effort of CODE PAKISTAN to sensitize the relevant stakeholders on the legal framework regarding hate speech. CODE PAKISTAN is closely working with relevant state functionaries in complementing their efforts to counter violent extremism in the community.
